“Route 66” DVD box cover

Today, I received the image that will be used in the cover of the upcoming DVD set of the first half-season of the critically acclaimed “Route 66” television series.

Here it is:

With the news release that came with it, there’s this item about the special features on the DVD:

Come along for the ride and get your kicks on Route 66. Special features include classic original TV commercials; filmographies of the stars and special guests; and a classic Corvette photo gallery and specs. [my emphasis]

That’s something I wasn’t aware of in my original story about the DVD set. The DVD will be in stores Oct. 23.

  1. Beware! There is a DVD boxset company that is “selling” Route 66 and many other entertainment DVD boxsets on the Internet right now, but most people never receive their products. The URL (one of them) is http://www.tvboxset.com, but they are now hosting many websites. Go to https://www.ripoffreport.com and search for TV Boxset or Garcia Media Group. The Canadian police, Canada Post and the FTC are now taking complaints on them.

  2. The season 1, volume 1 set is a legitimate, authorized release of the first 15 episodes of “Route 66.” The series is owned by Roxbury Entertainment and is being released on DVD by the Infinity Entertainment Group, which earlier this Summer also released season 1 of “The Real McCoys” and “Suspense” and just released the entire two seasons of “The Adventures of Jim Bowie.” But I would be wary of any company or individual offering all four seasons of “Route 66” on DVD. Those sets are bootlegs that are NOT authorized by the rights holder, Roxbury Entertainment. Don’t patronize these thieves, buy the authorized release this coming October 23rd.
