Author Michael Wallis was on “The Colbert Report” last night to plug his “The Lincoln Highway” book. He made a few mentions of Route 66 as well.
If you missed the interview, you can view it here. (High-speed connection is recommended; even so, give it time to load and play.)
Colbert teased to the segment this way: “My guest Michael Wallis thinks the real America lies off the interstate. It’s a great book to read when you’re stuck in traffic, on the interstate.”
For those unfamiliar with Colbert, remember that his egotistical and dim-witted character is a satire. His show is on the Comedy Channel, after all.
Is there a trick to making it play? It’s choked on every browser and every computer I own.
