Filmmaker Darryl Kinson produced a 22-minute short film, “The Caretaker,” that was shot entirely at Roy’s on Route 66 in Amboy, Calif.
You can see the trailer for the film here, which is described as a thriller shot for $3,000 over a couple weekends at Roy’s. Longtime roadies will readily recognize many parts of Roy’s here.
Kinson said in a message:
My goal is to submit it to some festivals first and then make it readily available. I’m glad to hear about your interest in route 66, the discovery for me was a fantastic experience.
