Publisher Dave Emerson said in a phone interview that 20,000 copies of the print edition will be on the streets by early summer. He said the publication’s coverage in the western states has been expanded, and several maps were improved or corrected.
In the interim, however, he wants Route 66 aficionados to look over the preview edition above and contact him if corrections need to be made. “We want to make sure everything’s right,” Emerson said. He can be contacted at motherroadllc(at)yahoo.com.
Emerson said the publication’s main website soon will receive a makeover. He also said he’s developing a Keeping You on the Mother Road app for iPhone and Android he hopes will launch sometime later this year.
“Keeping You on the Mother Road” published its first edition in 2010, and the follow-up in 2012. It contains listings of services, campgrounds, events, radio stations, restaurants, bookstores, auto repair shops and other businesses.
