Route 66 enthusiast Don Gray reports that the Copper Cart restaurant in Seligman, Ariz., reopened this week. It was closed and for sale for some time.
He said the historic Route 66 restaurant has been remodeled, as shown by one of Gray’s photos here.
Funny how things work on Route 66 … after a week in which a historic icon dies in Seligman, another is reborn.
Glad to see it has reopened and not shut down for good. We were through Seligman back in 1993 and ate at the Copper Cart. Had the best time in there with a couple from Germany trying to explain to them the different items on the menu. The interior looks great and if ever back that way will try out the menu again. Wonder if anything was changed on the exterior?
I’ve posted photos of the interior and exterior of the remodeled Copper Cart on my Webshots “Route 66” album. The photos can be viewed from the link listed in Ron’s post “… as shown by one of Gray’s photos here.” Once the link takes you to the Webshots page, you can see the “prev” and “next” photos which included additional photos of the inside and outside. The photos are posted in high resolution and the magnifying glass under each photo give the option to “see this photo at it’s original size”. I’ve also listed the link to the Webshots site in the URL below.
