A Slice of Pie restaurant, a mainstay in Rolla, Missouri, since opening just off Route 66 three decades ago, has opened a second location 25 miles west in St. Robert, Missouri.
The bakery announced on Facebook on Wednesday the opening of its second site in St. Robert.
The address there is 1106 Old Route 66. Its hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
A Slice of Pie will continue to operate at 634 S. Bishop on Rolla’s south side after spending many years in an old strip mall on a hill overlooking Route 66, just off Kingshighway.
The restaurant moved south in Rolla when the strip mall underwent extensive renovations.
For lunch or dinner, A Slice of Pie usually offers quiches, salads, pot pies and soups, along with its legendary dessert pies.
Rural Missouri years ago named it the best pie in the state. And Roadfood.com has championed it as well. The only place that’s probably comparable by reputation is the Midpoint Cafe and its pies in Adrian, Texas.
