I’ve made significant updates on portions of the Web site, especially the Calendar of Events.
I think most of the Route 66-related festivals in 2009 are now listed, but a few towns haven’t scheduled them yet. If I’m missing one, drop me a line and I’ll try to add it.
Also, I’ve added links to the Campgrounds listing and pruned a few that seemed marginal.
And although the long-awaited reopening of the historic El Garces Harvey House in Needles, Calif., won’t happen for many more months, I’ve added a link to it in the Lodging page. There, you can see some of the work that’s being done to the building. I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished, especially knowing it’s the same people who restored the fabulous La Posada in Winslow, Ariz.

UPDATE: A Tourism page has been added. It contains links to each of the Route 66 states’ official tourism sites. It also contains Web sites of each of the significant Route 66 towns (if available) and relevant regional tourism sites.
