Kaisa Barthuli, program director for the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program, recently sent out an email to alert people about two grant opportunities through the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Don’t procrastinate, though. Applications for both grants are due March 1.
- One is the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors. It assists in the preservation, restoration and interpretation of historic interiors.
- The other is the Johanna Favrot Fund for Historic Preservation. This fund aims to save historic environments to foster an appreciation of our nation’s diverse cultural heritage and to preserve and revitalize the livability of the nation’s communities.
The dollar-for-dollar grants range from $2,500 to $15,000.
Applicants on both grants will be notified by July 1.
