Lebanon motel on Route 66 renovated, rechristened as Maple Tree Inn

A motel along Route 66 known as Midwest Inn on the west side of Lebanon, Missouri, recently was renovated and renamed the Maple Tree Inn.

According to a news release, the company that purchased the property at 2125 W. Elm St. (aka Route 66) gave it a freshening up:

Travelers will be assured of a range of clean and comfortable rooms at an affordable price. As more people are on the roads today, following the COVID-19 lockdown, the new owners used the time to complete many renovations, both structural and cosmetic.

Rooms are being offered for $75 a night. The Maple Tree Inn’s Facebook account is here.

It’s a good thing the motel landed a new ownership group. Online reviews for the Midwest Inn were horrible.

An online search of the motel’s address indicates the property also used to be an Econo Lodge.

The landmark Munger Moss Motel remains the obvious place to stay overnight in Lebanon. But it appears the Maple Tree Inn might be a good alternative if the Munger Moss is booked.
