Shellee Graham‘s touring photo exhibition, “Return to Route 66: Photos from the Mother Road,” is coming to St. Louis.
The opening reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Old Courthouse in St. Louis, with a talk and slide show given in the Rotunda. If you can’t make it, the exhibit will be on display at the Old Courthouse, aka the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, until April 12.
It seems a bit strange, but this is Shellee’s first exhibit in St. Louis, and she’s lived in that area for many years. I can vouch for her photography; I have a Blue Swallow Motel image on our wall.
A sample of Shellee’s work can be seen here. She also wrote a book about the gone-but-not-forgotten Coral Court Motel near St. Louis and co-produced a documentary about it, “Built for Speed: The Coral Court Motel.”
