The Route 66 Street Drags are returning to the actual Route 66 in Kingman, Arizona, on May 19-21 after nearly an 18-month break.
The National Street Drag Championship event will take place on a specially built track placed on top of the Mother Road in town.
The Route 66 Street Drags last were held in October 2021.
“The promoters felt moving it to the spring would be a better time for racers, but spring 2022 was too soon,” Josh Noble, tourism service manager of Kingman wrote in an email. “It was a huge success then; I think it will be again this year!”
