Robby Robinson, a keyboardist and music director for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons since 1978 and a native of the Route 66 town of Litchfield, Illinois, has organized the “Get Your Kicks Tour ’23 — A Musical Trip Down Route 66” in October.
The tour includes guitarist Vinny Martell of Vanilla Fudge, Travis Cloer of the Tony-winning musical “Jersey Boys,” and singer Sara Niemietz of Postmodern Jukebox and Pomplamoose.
The shows will be on these dates and venues:
- Oct. 17: Arcada Theatre, St. Charles, Illinois
- Oct. 18: Miles Of Possibility Conference, Bloomington, Illinois (venue to be announced)
- Oct. 19: Wildey Theatre, Edwardsville, Illinois
A fourth gig in Illinois is possible, but it hasn’t been announced yet.

UPDATE 9/19/2023: The Oct. 18 show during the Miles of Possibility Conference has been confirmed: Jazz Upfront at 107 W. Front St. along Route 66 in downtown Bloomington. Miles of Possibility attendees will receive a special VIP package when they purchase their tickets.
Also, the fourth gig will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Skyview Drive-In theater in Litchfield, which is Robinson’s hometown.
