Fast TV Network’s “Legends of Route 66” lands “Official Route 66 Centennial Project” designation

The seventh season of Fast TV Network’s “Legends of Route 66” has been recommended as an “Official Route 66 Centennial Project.”

Commission member Bill Thomas stated in the letter to the network: “Congratulations, Fast TV Network’s Legends of Route 66 Centennial Season Seven project has been recommended by the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission as an Official Route 66 Centennial Project.”

Thomas also confirmed the designation in an email to Route 66 News.

Melissa Lea Beasley, vice president of production and programming at Fast TV, stated in a news release the season would have segments from all eight states that Route 66 traverses.

Mike Lee, president and CEO of Fast TV Network, said planning for that season of “Legends of Route 66” began over three years ago.

Pre-production has been in progress for several months. Production begins on May 1 and will continue throughout the summer. 

The seventh season of “Legends of Route 66″ Centennial Season Seven” will begin streaming in November.
