Oklahoma Route 66 Guide, Passport to be unveiled on March 29 at Meadow Gold Mack’s in Tulsa

The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and Oklahoma Today magazine will release the 2025 Route 66 Guide and Passport during a special event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Meadow Gold Mack Route 66 Outpost in Tulsa.

The event will feature acclaimed Tulsa-area recording artist JD McPherson spinning vintage vinyl, food from The Meat and Cheese Show and special guests, according to a news release from Oklahoma Tourism.

Rhys Martin, president of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, also announced the debut of its special T-shirt.

The 2025 Route 66 guide is an 80-page resource for those traveling Oklahoma’s more than 400 miles of Route 66 this year.

The accompanying Route 66 Passport is an interactive guide featuring 66 destinations along the Mother Road in Oklahoma.

Travelers are encouraged to stop at each one and get a stamp. Those who complete each section — the Passport is divided into east, central and west sections — receive a small prize.

Those who complete the whole thing can receive a commemorative coin.

A digital version also is available on the TravelOK app.

The 2025 Route 66 Guide and Passport were designed by Walker Creative, Inc. in partnership with Oklahoma Today magazine.

The guide is presented by Visit Claremore, and the passport is presented by the City of Stroud.
