While scanning an article about photographer Roy Gumpel, I found this enticing tidbit:
What Gumpel likes best about photography is shooting people in “interesting environments.” An assignment to photograph in black and white the people and places of Route 66 for National Geographic Explorer is now a book in the making.
There’s no word on the book’s publication date. However, there are about a dozen photos from Route 66 that you can see on Gumpel’s Web site here.
