Topless on Route 66

No, I'm not talking about driving a convertible.

Thejab at Tiki Forum Central recently acquired a July 1966 issue of the girlie magazine Modern Man. In it was an article about the Tiki Kai restaurant along Route 66 in Albuquerque, N.M., where the waitresses served drinks and meals kinda sorta topless (I say kinda sorta because they wore sheer tops and pasties).

Of course, the article's title was "Where to Get Kicks on Route 66."

Thejab has scanned and posted the entire article, including photos. (WARNING: The link to the article might not be work-safe because it contains partial nudity.)

The article is worth perusing for the text alone, written during a time when Playboy clubs were all the rage during the early days of the sexual revolution.

Nowadays, the article seems more quaint and weird than sordid.
