Here’s a short video documentary by filmmaker Todd Kent about Amarillo tycoon Stanley Marsh 3, who led the creation of Cadillac Ranch and other whimsical art installations in the region.

The film is a few years old, but it was just posted on YouTube today.

You know, those Cadillacs are starting to show their wear nowadays. It’s probably getting about time to look into replacing some or making some structural repairs? Some are missing trunks, hoods, doors or tops. Maybe it can be brought up at the upcoming Amarillo International Route 66 Festival this year, and Amarillo could take up the cause? That would go a long way towards a renewed focus on Route 66 for Amarillo – the Triangle Motel and the Cadillac Ranch. Don’t stop there, but a great start…
