A new take on Depeche Mode’s “Route 66”

Here’s a remarkable new (but unofficial) video of Depeche Mode‘s version of “Route 66.” It was shot and edited by Jakub Górajek for SensiMedia in Poland.

The footage was taken in July in Chicago; St. Louis; Elk City, Okla.; Shamrock, Texas; Amarillo, Texas; Tucumcari, N.M.; Grants, N.M.; Gallup, N.M.; Holbrook, Ariz.; Winslow, Ariz.; Flagstaff, Ariz.; Williams, Ariz.; Seligman, Ariz.; Kingman, Ariz.; Oatman, Ariz.; Ludlow, Calif.; Amboy, Calif.; Barstow, Calif.; San Bernardino, Calif.; and Los Angeles. A few unnamed spots in Oklahoma also were used.

With all that walking on Route 66 in high heels, I bet the model’s feet were really tired. 😉

  1. At 00:55, is the model standing on the road into Oatman, looking down towards the (active) mine (square shapes out of focus)? Well done set of iconic shots….but missed the Blue Swallow!
