A few roadies have recommended this, and upon watching it, so do I.
The “Samantha Brown’s Places to Love” travel show on PBS-TV recently aired. This 25-minute episode features Route 66 from St. Louis to Tulsa.
It includes Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, Gearhead Curios, Uranus Missouri, a mural artist in Cuba, Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on Route 66, the Battle of Carthage, History Museum on the Square, the Tulsa Race Massacre and “Route 66: The Mother Road” author Michael Wallis.
Brown said in an interview earlier this year that she and her crew would produce more episodes about Route 66 from St. Louis all the way to Santa Monica, including one of her favorite cities, Santa Fe. \
So keep your eyes peeled for future shows.
Brown has been a television travel host for 25 years.
